Set up subjects for a location
Subjects classify what counts towards a unit’s total capacity. This includes persons (based on age), pets, and vehicles.
At the location level, you define person-subjects for capacity settings per accommodation type or unit. This article focuses on creating person-subjects. Pets and vehicles follow different configuration rules.
Create a new subject
- Navigate to Content Manager.
- Search for and open the location for which you would like to set up subjects.
- Scroll down to the Subjects card.
- Click on Create subject at the bottom-right.
- Enter the required fields according to your subject details.
- Set the toggle to include or exclude the subject in the total capacity.
- Complete the remaining steps and click Create subject.
Tip
It is recommended to create subjects at the highest location level so that they are inherited by all locations below.
Warning
You can edit a subject by clicking its row, unless it is already linked to reservations. If it is, contact Maxxton support. Changing subjects in active use can have serious consequences.
Change the subject sequence
The sequence of subjects determines the order in which they are presented on your website during the reservation process.

- Click Change subject sequence.
- Réorganisez vos participants par priorité (du haut vers le bas).
